Ruth Bryan Reddy

Ruth Bryan Reddy, 90, of Hahira, died Friday, February 11, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Hahira on March 18, 1914 to the late Jesse Lee Bryan, Sr. and Cora Elizabeth Webb Bryan. Mrs. Reddy was a hairdresser and owned Hahira Beauty Shop for forty years. She was a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church, Mattie Webb Circle, served on the State Board of Cosmetology for many years, was a local business person, owned and operated Orchard Heights Trailer Park and was an avid pilot.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Deeanna Tolson and Nancy Powers of Hahira, two grandsons, Dean Surgeon of Hahira and Joey Reddy of Raleigh, NC, six great grandchildren, two nephews, Lee Bryan of Hahira and Glenn Bryan of Lakeland, FL, one daughter in law, Willodean Reddy of Hahira, one son in law, Roby Henry of Arlington, TX, one sister in law, Virginia Bryan Coppage of Hahira. Mrs. Reddy is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Reddy, Sr., one daughter, Anna Beth Henry, one son, Billy Reddy, Jr., and one brother, J. L. Bryan, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 14, 2005 at eleven a. m. in the Hahira United Methodist Church with Reverend Lynn Hurley officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. She will lie in state for one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Sunday at the funeral home.
