Russell Henry Moeller

Russell Henry Moeller, 77, of Lake Park, died on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. He was born on October 1, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Clifford Moeller and Betty Shephard Moeller. Mr. Russell was a veteran of the United States Army have served in the 3rd Infantry Marne Division. He was a retired conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad and a member of Francis Lake Baptist Church. Mr. Russell served as an usher at his church for many years and was an avid golfer and Georgia Bulldog fan.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pat Moeller of Lake Park; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Nicole Moeller of Eufaula, Alabama; a granddaughter, Emily Moeller of Birmingham, Alabama; two grandsons, Flint Moeller and Nicholas Moeller both of Eufaula; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda and Ronnie Williams of Lake Park; two nieces, Lindsey Gilbert of Daphne, Alabama and Emily Williams of Biloxi, Mississippi. Mr. Russell was preceded by his son, Brian Moeller, his parents-in-law, Paul and Ruth Harris; a nephew, Gant Williams, and a niece, Ashley Williams; a very special friend, Jimmy Carter. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff and associates with Hospice of South Georgia for the loving care and attention given to Mr. Moeller and the family.

Services for Russell Moeller will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Francis Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Eldridge Lyons, Mr. Eric Thomas, and Dr. Billy Hancock officiating. The burial will follow in the Dasher Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
