Russell Harding Lewis, Jr.

Russell (Sonny) Lewis, 63, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at his residence. He was born on June 3, 1944 in Eufaula, AL to the late Russell Harding Lewis, Sr. and Alice Beasley Lewis. Sonny was a produce salesman and a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by two step daughters, Tammy Carter and Lena Carter of Eufaula, AL, two sisters, Margaret Hart and Martha Brentise of Valdosta, a special niece, Loriann Schlafke of Valdosta. Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Lewis and Dicky Lewis.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at three p. m. in the Magnolia Room Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. Family and friends may view Mr. Lewis between 9 a. m. and 3 p. m. Saturday at the funeral home. After the memorial service he will be cremated and his cremains will be buried in Eufaula, AL. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Grace Hospice, 410 Cowart Avenue, Valdosta, GA 31602.
