Rubye Stringfellow

Rubye Stringfellow, 93, of Ormond Beach, Fla and formerly of Hahira died Sunday, February 6, 2011. She was born in Atlanta on May 3, 1917 to the late Richard and Lillie Mae Pylant Ford and had lived in Valdosta and Hahira most of her life before moving to Ormond Beach, Flordia ten years ago. Mrs. Stringfellow was a member of the Church of Christ in Holly Hill, Florida and a former member of the Forrest Park Church of Christ in Valdosta.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Patricia Ann and Jimmy Rowe of Ormond Beach, Fla., six grandchildren, Sheila Tartar, Russ Cumbess, Joyce Bryson, Rhonda Madgett, Sonya Vollebregtt and Ben Rowe, 13- great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willie Stringfellow and Woodrow Cowart, a daughter, Peggy Joyce Stringfellow Cumbess and a son, William Thomas (Tommy) Stringfellow.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Ray Joyner and Mr. Brian Madgett officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
