Rubye Langley Bailey, 85, of Valdosta died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Randolph County, Alabama on July 7, 1927 to the late Melvin and Evie Wilson Langley and had lived in Valdosta for the past sixty years. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Forrest Park Church of Christ and ABWA.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Urenda and Walt Driver of Tallahassee, FL, her son and daughter in law, Franklin and Sabrina Bailey of Valdosta, her four grandchildren, Tracey (Rob) Stewart, Andrea (Jason) Meadows, Jarod (Julie) Bailey, Travis (Mandy) Bailey, five great grandchildren, Ryan Stewart, Landon Stewart, Ethan Meadows, Ty Meadows, Gabrielle Meadows, her sister, Sylvia Cork of Newnan and her brother, Vann Langley of Wedowee, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.F. (Jeff) Bailey.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Forrest Park Church of Christ with Mr. Forrest Chapman and Mr. Terry Broome officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
