Ruby A. Ray

Ruby A. Ray, 79 of Valdosta, died on Monday, August 07, 2006, at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. Born on April 7, 1927 in Crisp County, she was the daughter of the late G. E. and Lula Mae Cromer Taylor. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are her husband, Warren Harold Ray of Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Bill Darsey of Lakeland; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Libby Ray of Valdosta; grandchildren, Charlotte and Brad Hamm of Tifton, Hal Darsey of Lakeland, Roddie Ray and Kyle Ray of Valdosta, April and Greg Reid of Savannah, Michael Kirkland of Hahira; brothers, Ott Taylor of Cordele and Gene Taylor of Cordele and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Alton, Homer and Leonard Taylor and three sisters, Alla May Martin, Irene Ellis and Ann Lee Hobbs.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
