Royce Jackson Wiggins, 75, of Echols County passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at home. He was born on March 22, 1936 in Tifton to the late Homer D. and Hattie King Wiggins. Mr. Wiggins was a Baptist and retired from Packaging Corporation of America in 1998 after more than 30 years of service. He will be greatly missed by his family who loved him very much and many friends with whom he spent much time hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Juanita Stone Wiggins of Echols County, four daughters and three sons in law, Brenda Branson of Brunswick, GA., Sandra and Jerry Hendley of Valdosta, Carol and Chuck Fulwood of Echols Co., Michelle and Ezekiel Cumbess of Lake Park, his grandchildren, Christie Luke and David Hodges, Jr., Kacie Hendley, Amber Hughes, Elizabeth Wisenbaker, Candice Branson, Brock Cumbess, great grandchildren, Lee Hodges, Bryan Luke, A. J. Hughes, Kaylee Luke, Dalyce Quinn, Charles Lee Hughes, Lukace Branson, two sisters and brothers in law, Hazel and Rufus Hayes, Cynthia and Donnie Miller all of Jacksonville, Fla., two brothers and sisters in law, Bennie and Ellen Wiggins of Marquand, MO, Jim and Jean Wiggins of Birmingham, Ala.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, January 20, 2012 in the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carlton Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery in Echols County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the Lakewood Funeral Home.
