Roy L. Murphy

Roy L. Murphy, 72, of Dasher, died Friday, April 22, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Twin City, GA on November 6, 1932 to the late Henry David and Pearl Harbuck Murphy. Mr. Murphy was retired from Union Camp, served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Dasher Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, DeMaris Adams Murphy of Dasher, three sons and daughters in law, David and Kathy Murphy of Sylvania, GA, Jeffery and Mary Katherine Murphy of Alpharetta, GA and Troy and Sandy Murphy of Lake Park, one daughter, Roiane Murphy of Dasher, five grandchildren, Brooke Murphy, Kyle Murphy, Brandon Murphy, Katie Murphy and Kevin Murphy, one sister, Willie Pearl Martin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Mr. Murphy is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, 2005 at two p. m. in Dasher Cemetery with Mr. David Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p. m.
