Roy Grimes, Jr.

Roy Grimes, Jr., 36 of Valdosta, Georgia and formerly of Dothan, Alabama, died on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 31, 1968 in Geneva, Alabama. He was employed as a Lead Supervisor at Hood Packaging and attended Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Melisa Grimes of Valdosta; two daughters, Jessica and Jaymie Grimes of Valdosta; his parents, Roy, Sr. and Cathy Grimes of Dothan; a sister and brother-in-law, Lara and Jackie McCall of Dothan; one nephew, Paul Grimes of Dothan; father-in-law, Chester Ussery of Jesup, Georgia and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joann Grimes and a sister, Rachel Grimes.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2004 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Brother Alton Hardee officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
