Rosemary Mildred Amiot

October 16, 1916 — February 25, 2008

Rosemary Mildred Amiot, 91, of Valdosta entered eternal life on Monday, February 25, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 16, 1916 and was the daughter of the late Anna (Swain) and Erdan Peffley. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Amiot and her five siblings, Isabel Freeman, Marge Chalfant, Clifford Peffley, Erdan Peffley and Veleda (Budd) Batcher.

Survivors include three daughters and sons in law, Jacqueline and Michael Werner of Jacksonville, Fla., Constance and Al Kosa of Atlanta, GA., Marian and John Mitchell of Valdosta, four sons and three daughters in law, William and Tami Amiot of Tallahassee, Fla., Gary Amiot, Rick and Leigh Amiot and Jim and Beverly Amiot all of Valdosta, seventeen grandchildren, Alex Kosa III, Karen (Jim) Beck, Pam LeCroy, Vincent (Kim) Werner, Jason Werner, Lisa (Victor) Ravelo, Anna Amiot, Krystal Amiot, April Amiot, Joshua Amiot, Thomas Amiot, David Amiot, Stephanie Mitchell, Amanda Mitchell, William Amiot, Ben Amiot, Monica (Roger) Chastain, eight great grandchildren, Jeramie and Tyler Beck, Morgan LeCroy, Terra and Trenton Werner, Landry Revelo, Hannah and Natalie Chastain, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Amiot was a long time member of St. John's Catholic Church and was dedicated to the Lord, Her Husband and her family. The things she loved were her children, her children from marriage, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved dancing, contemporary music and her hobby of crochet.

A mass to celebrate her life will be held at 12:10pm, Thursday, February 28, 2008 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Dan O'Connell and Father Marvin LeFrois serving as celebrants. A rosary will be held on Wednesday at 6:00pm at the church with visitation to be held following the rosary until 8:00pm. She will be laid to rest in the mausoleum at Riverivew Memorial Gardens.
