Rosalie Nusbaum Wilkes

ROSALIE N. WILKES, 92, of DeLand, Fla. died Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Ridgecrest Manor in DeLand after a lengthy illness. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama on August 19, 1914 to the late Raphael and Clemmie Lee Shivers Nusbaum and had lived in Valdosta for many years before moving to DeLand. Mrs. Wilkes was retired from Southern Stationary Co. after thirty years of service and had also been employed at Jets Bookstore.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Wilkes of DeLand, Fla. and George Wilkes of Valdosta, 5-grandchildren, Starr Ocker of Pennsylvania, David Wilkes and Robert Wilkes both of DeLand, Fla., Al Wilkes and Mike Robinson both of Nashville, TN. and 10-great grandchildren, half sister, Idlaine Karz of Rochester, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie E. Wilkes.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home and will receive friends at the mausoleum chapel on Wednesday from 10am until service time.
