Ronald Rufus Riley, 63, of Jennings, Florida, died on Thursday, December 14, 2017, in Hubbard, Ohio. Son of the late Pharoah and Maxine Prescott Riley, he was born on February 9, 1954 in Lake City, Florida. Mr. Riley was a Marine veteran. He loved his work as a Pipe Fitter with F & L HKA Enterprises. He enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Apostolic Church.
Survivors are his wife, Shirley Denise, a son, William (Vanessa) Taylor of Alachua, Florida, daughters, Teresa (Mike) Myers of Valdosta, Tosha (David) Hambrick of Statenville; fourteen grandchildren, Carrie Taylor, Bubba Taylor, Sarah Myers, Ashton Taylor, Timothy Myers, Courtland Hambrick, Kimberly Taylor, Lydia Myers, Katlyn Hambrick, Luke Myers, Riley Hambrick, Jackson Hambrick, Jasper Hambrick and Cody Taylor; one great grandchild, Colton Croft; four brothers, Jimmy Riley, John Riley, Paul Riley and Robert Riley; sisters, Christine Riley and Geraldine Toney. He was preceded in death by his parents and a very special mother-in-law, Ermon Spradley.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Truth Harbor Apostolic Church on Loch Laurel Road, Valdosta. Pastor Ben Weeks will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City, Florida.
