Ronald (Ronny) Buran Wisenbaker, Jr.

Ronald (Ronny) Buran Wisenbaker, Jr., 54, of Valdosta died Monday, March 2, 2015 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Lowndes County on January 23, 1961 to Betty Tyson Wisenbaker and the late Ronald B. Wisenbaker, Sr. and was a lifelong resident of this area. Ronny was a member of the Dasher Church of Christ and owned and operated Wisenbaker Tire and Brake Service. He was an avid hunter, loved to fish and work in his yard. Ronny also enjoyed stock car racing, go cart racing and restoring tractors.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Tison Wisenbaker, his mother, Betty Wisenbaker Gillen; sister, Ronda Wisenbaker Smith; brother, Ira Wisenbaker all of Valdosta, nieces and nephews, Lauren (Ethan) Rumsey, Lindsay (Adam) Nolte, Chandler Smith, his cousin who is like a son, Erik and Ashli Copeland and their children, Harper Copeland and Judd Copeland, family friend who is like a brother, Gerome (Bear) Laster; sisters in law and brothers in law, Judy and David Wilson, Larry and Evie Tison, Wanda Tison; stepfather in law, Richard J. Pritchard all of Valdosta; numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald B. Wisenbaker, Sr., mother in law, Myrtice Z. Pritchard and brothers in law, Albert M. Tison and Jerry T. Tison.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Dasher Church of Christ with Mr. David Nelson and Mr. J. C. McMullen officiating. Burial will follow in the Dasher Cemetery.
