Ronald Plair, 82, of Hahira passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Hahira, Lowndes County, Ga on September 6, 1939 to the late Ira E. Plair and Mandy Lee Linahan Plair. Ronald retired from the State of Georgia and was a member of Hahira United Methodist Church. He loved helping others, and he enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Mr. Plair is predeceased by his parents, Ira and Mandy Plair, sisters, Helen Oliver and Juanita Bostick and brother, Genon Bostick, nephews, Chris Bostick and J. C. Plair. He is survived by his niece, Lynn Benson of Jacksonville, FL, great nieces, Amanda Pearson (John) of Jacksonville, FL, Charlotte Davis (Jason) of Jacksonville, FL and Lisa Yates (Buddy) of Seminole, AL, great great nephews, Michael Pearson, Jordan Davis and Jonah Davis, dear family friends, Ellen and Fred Carlo, Brayden Dennard, Seth Carlo, Eli Carlo and Shannon Chandler.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta. The family will receive friends from five until seven p. m. Saturday at the funeral home.
