Ronald Daniel Jones

Ronald Daniel Jones, 78, of Barney died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Guin, Alabama on June 13, 1937 to the late Luther M. and Carrie Tidwell Jones and had lived in Brooks County all of his life. Mr. Jones was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Barney and a retired carpenter. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed being a father, grandfather, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Janie L. Jones of Barney, two sons and daughters in law, David and Teresa Jones of Tallahassee, FL, Darren and Cathy Jones of Baconton, GA; grandchildren and their spouses, Ashleigh Jones Cave and Matt Cave of Tampa, FL, Natalie Jones of Tallahassee, FL, Zachary and Lyndsey Jones of Virginia Beach, VA, Anna Jones, Adam Jones both of Tallahassee, FL, Hilliary Jones and Stephanie Jones both of Baconton, GA; sister in law, Elizabeth Jones of Tallahassee, FL; mother in law, Marjorie Sharpe of Adel, GA; brothers in law and sisters in law, Dean and Deborah Sharpe of Valdosta, Jeffery and Jewel Sharpe of Hahira. He was preceded in death by a brother, Malloy Jones and a sister, Myra Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Friendship Baptist Church in Barney with Rev. Earl Justice and Rev. Steven Haineault officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery in Morven. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6-8pm at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira.
