Robin Pitts-Palacios

Robin Pitts-Palacios, 53, of Marianna, Florida died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at her home. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 4, 1958 to the late Roy Jackson and Helen Oliver Pitts and had lived in Valdosta most of her life before moving to Marianna, Florida. She was a great mother, excellent grandmother and aunt. Robin had a great love for her children, granddaughter, brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Jason West of Savannah, GA., two daughters and sons in law, Jennifer and Darin Slinkard of Summerville, SC., Angela and Gary Venator of Winder, GA., her granddaughter, Danielle Slinkard of Summerville, SC., one sister, Diane DeVane of Valdosta, two brothers and a sister in law, Robert and Lynn Pitts of Panama City, Fla., Gary Pitts of Quitman, GA., numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, her former husband and the father of her children, Ralph West of Suffolk, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Helen Pitts, a sister, Sharon Williams and a brother, Kenneth Pitts.

Memorial services will be held at 11am, Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Gay officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
