Robert "Skip" Foltz, 74, of Valdosta, died at his home on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Brodie and Virginia Green Foltz. Mr. Foltz had made his home in Valdosta for the past 17 years. He and his wife were co-founders and co-directors of the Judeo-Christian Public Library on Ashley Street in Valdosta. Mr. Foltz was a member of Grace Bible Church.
Survivors are his wife, Alice Coulter Foltz of Valdosta; daughters, Julie Peters of Kansas and Laura Comer of Sugarland, Texas; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in the Magnolia Chapel at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. Mr. Robin Harris, Reverend Rick Hofmeister and Mr. Robert Schoonmaker will officiate.
