Robert R. Boggs, Jr.

Robert R. Boggs, Jr., 83, of Lake Park, GA, died at South Georgia Medical Center on Friday, January 10, 2020. Born in Margretville, New York, on February 11, 1936, Mr. Boggs was the son of the late Robert Russell Boggs, Sr., and Geraldine Edwards Boggs. He worked as a Laboratory Technician and Laboratory Group Leader with Union Camp for 34 years. Mr. Boggs was raised as a Christian with a Presbyterian and Methodist denominational background. He served in churches through fellowship, youth ministry and as a choir member wherever he was, most recently at West End Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are his wife, Marjorie Fain Boggs also of Lake Park, GA; sister, Barbara Boggs Ide and husband Raymond Ide of Hiawassee, GA, sons, Robert Boggs III and wife Stacy Boggs of Nichols, GA, son, Nathaniel Phil Boggs of Westgreen, GA; stepdaughter, Theresa Collins and husband David Collins of Valdosta, GA, stepson, Robert Schwartz Jr. and wife Leigh Schwartz of Statham, GA, step daughter, Robin Eason and husband Alva (Chip) Eason, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Dustin and Dilan Boggs, Schuyler Kenzel, Schuyler Boggs, Jason, Justin Collins, Zack, Devan, Megan Schwartz, Taylor, Savannah Eason, great grandchildren, Josh, Beau, Chris, Zane, Bryce, Turner, Jaxyn and Jaxson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home with Reverend John Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
