Robert R. (Bobby) Johnson

February 13, 1933 — November 15, 2008

Robert R. (Bobby) Johnson, 75, of Valdosta, died at Langdale Hospice House on Saturday, November 15, 2008, after a lengthy illness. Born in Stockton, Georgia on February 13, 1933, Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Leon and Eva Mae Timmerman Johnson. He was an Air Force Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Johnson of Valdosta; daughters and a son in law, Barbara Simms of Valdosta, Becky and Eddie Strom of Hahira, Brenda Johnson of Valdosta; grandchildren, Kelley Simms and Jerad Simms of Valdosta, Nathan Strom of Hahira; brothers and sisters in law, Paul and Elsie Johnson of Stockton, Harold and Rachel Johnson of Valdosta, Dale Johnson of Stockton; sisters and brother in law, Sara Lou and Donald Seckinger of Stockton, Monteen Clanton of Orlando, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Wayfare Cemetery in Echols County.
