Robert (Peewee) Martin

Robert (PeeWee) Martin, 83, of Hahira died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born on July 20, 1934 in Lowndes County, GA to the late A. B. Martin and Mary Elizabeth Ellis Martin. Mr. Martin was a retired United States Air Force MSgt and a retired Valdosta State University campus police officer. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Mr. Martin enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Citizen Center. He graduated from Hahira High School.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Amy Martin, son, Henry Kevin Martin (Christie), daughters, Karen Weldon (Steve) and Kimberly Redding (Art), step daughter, Resa Vinson, all of Hahira, grandchildren, Henry Dale Martin, Houston Lee Martin, Haylon Haze Martin, Crissy Megow, Emily Cannon (Clayton), Bobby Weldon, Kaitlin Williams (Wesley), Alyssa Redding and Tori Redding, step grandson, Grayson Vinson, ten great grandchildren, sisters, Betty Alma Mixon of Hahira, Kathryn Holms of Valdosta and Pat Sadler of Adel, two brothers, Thomas Martin of Hahira and Hubert Martin of Conyers. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Stephen Robert Martin, step son, Berry Croft and sister, Louise Cash.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at noon at the graveside at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Nick Kudyk officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends Wednesday from ten thirty a. m. until eleven thirty a. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home, 401 South Church Street, Hahira, GA.
