Robert Marion Hall

Robert Marion Hall, known to friends as "Bob", born on January 28, 1939, passed away at home surrounded by family, on November 12, 2017, at the age of 78 after a long battle with leukemia (AML). A native of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Bob was a Fort Lauderdale High School Flying L, class of 1957. He attended Washington and Lee University and later graduated in 1963 from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on finance. Following graduation, he joined his father Robert Martell Hall in running the family business Power Brakes & Springs until his retirement in 1998. During his time in Fort Lauderdale, Bob was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and camping in the everglades with friends and family. In 2000 after his retirement he and his wife Sandra moved to Valdosta, Georgia, where he had continued success in real estate development and expanding the family pine tree farm which his father started in the 1950's.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra Leigh (née Baxter); son Robert Martell Hall, II and his wife Melissa, son James Baxter Hall, and grandchildren Owen Martell and Delaney Ann, along with many special cousins and close friends. Bob was predeceased by his parents Robert Martell Hall and Ruth Elizabeth Edwards Hall.
There will be a viewing held from 6 to 8 PM, on Friday, November 17, at the Carson McLane Funeral Home, 2215 North Patterson St, Valdosta, GA. Funeral Services will be at Crossroads Baptist Church, 3001 Country Club Drive, 10:30 AM Saturday, November 18, Pastor Clyde Stokes officiating, with interment to follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
