Robert Lindy Condrey

ROBERT LINDY CONDREY, 72, of Lanier County died Monday, February 5, 2007 at his home. He was born on June 24, 1934 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to the late Alfred and Lillie Mae Barnwell Condrey and had lived in this area since 1967. He was retired from the United States Air Force and served as the local recruiter from 1968-1973. Mr. Condrey had also been associated with the Holiday Markets, a member of the Moody Masonic Lodge and a member of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Myers Condrey of Lanier County, one son and daughter in law, Robbie (Bob) and Jeffrey Condrey of Valdosta, two daughters and sons in law, Barbara and James Jordan, Melinda and Ronnie Thomas all of Valdosta, six grandchildren, Eric Condrey, Alison Condrey, Shara Bailey, Lori Archer, Jonathan Thomas and John Fischbach, 7-great grandchildren, stepchildren and their spouses, Rev. Michael and Amy Myers, Patrick and Debra Myers, Annqunette and Joe Myers, Nichole Fender, Jennifer and Brent Croft, 5-step grandchildren, 2-step great grandchildren, four sisters, Lucy Tolbert of Oneonta, Ala., Martha Brown of Leaksville, MS., Bernice Evans of Valdosta and Jean Holley of Eufaula, Ala. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen Condrey and a sister, Mildred Pfau.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church with Dr. Craig Rikard, Rev. Michael Myers and Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors and masonic rites at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
