Robert L. Nichols

Robert L. “Bobby” Nichols, 64, of Valdosta died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Tifton on September 21, 1944 to the late Thomas and Erline Kitchen Nichols. Mr. Nichols was a veteran of the United States Marines and a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Crawford Nichols of Valdosta, daughters and sons in law, Felicia and John Hamilton of Centerville, IN, Loretta and Ken Pitts of Valdosta, sisters and brothers-in-law, Patty and Jim Holloway of Anniston, AL, Penny and Paul Tenhet of Tooele, UT, brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Caron Nichols of Chapin, SC., Jimmy and Sunny Nichols of Yarmouth Port, MA, eight grandchildren, mother in law, Kathryn Crawford of Valdosta, brother in law and sister in law, Larry and Martha Crawford of Dothan, AL. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kylie Brook Durham.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, August 1, 2009 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Schappaugh officiating.
