Robert Chester Krawczyk

Robert Chester Krawczyk, 76, was born June 19, 1948, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Chester and Rose Krawczyk. He passed away on November 14, 2024, in Valdosta, Georgia. He is survived by his son, Robert Krawczyk (Lauren) of St. Petersburg, Florida, and daughter, Rosemary Sergent (Dennis) of Jacksonville, Florida. 

Robert grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA and as a young man he was avid boxer and gymnast. He served the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command from1966 to 1974. After his service in the Air Force, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and his Master of Science in Sociology from Valdosta State University. He spent his career working for Valdosta State University and he retired as the Associate Director of Admissions. He loved hosting large football tailgates at VSU with family, coworkers, and friends. After retirement, he spent many years working as a “handyman” helping his neighbors and friends with household repair work. Once he put down his tools for good, he enjoyed many road trips with no destination or timeline in mind but ended up spending quality time in many great cities across the country. His particularly favorite destinations on his travels were to Sarasota, Florida, and the old cowboy towns out west. His other interests included cooking, watching classic western movies, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Braves.
