Robert House

Dr. Robert (Buddy) House, 74, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. He was born on October 26, 1949, in Eufala, Alabama to the late Robert Marley and Frances Kaigler House. Dr. House was a veteran of the United States Air Force having attained the rank of Captain, and retired from South Georgia Medical Center after 40 years of service to the community as an anesthesiologist. He was a member of the Park Ave Methodist Church.

Dr. House is survived by his wife, Deb House of Valdosta; his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Rick Hill of Atlanta; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Cristy House of Peachtree Corners, Colby and Alyssa House of Athens, and Ben and Ellen House of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Trey Hill, Drew Hill, David Hill, Madeline House, Abigail House, Collins House, Bo House, Brandt House, Marley Jane House, Tucker House, and Bud House (a new addition that is on the way). Additionally, Dr. House is survived by his sister Bunny Wiley of Warrenton, GA.

A memorial service for Dr. House will be held at the Park Avenue Church on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Towson and Rev. Jamie Bone officiating. A private family burial will take place in Georgetown, Georgia at a later date and time. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at Park Place by McLane. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Avenue Church, the Jeffrey Campbell Evans Foundation, or the Langdale Hospice House.
