Robert Stephen Gobler, 68, of Valdosta, passed away on March 31, 2025, at his home. Born on December 19, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, Robert was a man of many passions and deep faith.

A graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was Vice President of the Senior Class, Robert remained close with his classmates throughout the years. Robert sang in a Christian rock band and has always had a love for music. He attended Valdosta State College where he pledged Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Robert's dedication to soccer led him to establish the Valdosta State men’s soccer league and he raised funds to support the league, and it went on to become NCAA. He met his beloved wife, Bina, at Valdosta State College, and they shared 46 wonderful years together, raising two children who brought him great pride. Robert coached recreational and traveling soccer. He owned Gobler Computer Products in Lake Park and had an online store as well.

Active in the KAIROS prison ministry, Robert touched many lives with his love of God and compassion. Known for his infectious smile and sense of humor, Robert will be remembered as a good and faithful servant. His love for his family and passion for convertible cars and St. Augustine, Florida, created cherished memories that will endure. Robert was an avid cyclist and enjoyed long rides on his road bike. He and Bina enjoyed many trips in their motor home, and he enjoyed joking about being “Uncle Eddie” from the Christmas Vacation movie. Trips to the beach were especially important to him.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Bina Gobler, of Valdosta, and their children Stephanie Gobler, of Roswell, GA and Kyle Gobler, of Atlanta, GA, along with grandsons Caleb Gobler and Evan Gobler, both of Roswell, GA.
