Robert James Fisher

Robert James Fisher, 91, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on June 22, 1932, in Buffalo, New York to the late Harry B. and Marian Byrne Fisher. Mr. Fisher had served as a merchant marine and was a retired power plant supervisor in Carborundum, New York. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne Fisher of Valdosta; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen and Karen Fisher of Lewiston, New York and Richard Fisher of Valdosta; three granddaughters, Jill Curcione, Amber Wise, and Irene Fisher. Mr. Fisher was preceded by a brother, Walter Fisher, and a sister, Elaine Zurzuski.
