ROBERT EMMETT BRANTLEY, 52, of Valdosta died Monday, January 1, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Lowndes County on March 17, 1954 and was a life long resident of Lowndes County. Mr. Brantley was employed by ADM Contractors and a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, Robert E. Brantley, Jr., his mother, Rosey Lee Blackman of Valdosta, four brothers, David Warren of Hahira, Billy Warren of Alabama, Johnny Fender and Marvin Brantley both of Valdosta, two sisters, Betty Jean Warren of Augusta and Edna Mae Warren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, January 5, 2007 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Warren Jones of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
