Robert (Bobby) Blanchard, 69, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Langdale Hospice House after a short illness. Born in Valdosta on January 1, 1949, he had lived his whole life in Lowndes County. An Army veteran, Mr. Blanchard had attended Valdosta Technical College and worked at SAFT as a kilm operator. He was a member of Bemiss Road Baptist Church.
Survivors are his daughters, Kristi Blanchard of Lake Park, Darlene (Deran) Hardeman of Nashville; sons, Anthony Pilkinton, Alan Pilkinton, Eric Pilkinton all of Valdosta, grandchildren, Kaylin Blanchard, Cadence Pilkinton, Darcy Hardeman, Caleb Pilkinton, Drew Hardeman, Devin Hardeman, Shane Joseph; his mother, Dorothy Blanchard of Valdosta; niece, Becky Brown, nephew, Carroll Blanchard both of Valdosta; a sister, Evelyn (Bruce) Garner of Lake Park. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Sheree Blanchard, brothers, Jimmy Blanchard and Herbert Blanchard and his father, Harry Edward Blanchard.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 05, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
