Robert (Bob) Leonard

Robert “Bob” Leonard, 70 of Lake Park, died on Monday, June 5, 2006 at his residence. Born on September 2, 1935 in Plant City, FL, he was the son of the late Dake and Mildred Peavy Leonard. Mr. Leonard was a retired home builder and a retired building inspector for Lake Park. He was a United States Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a member of Lake Park Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Cathy Carney Leonard of Lake Park; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Robin Leonard and Steve and Lynn Leonard all of Lake Park; “special sons,” John Lewis and Brad Carter, both of Lake Park; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian L. Minton and Nell Whitfield.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the McLane Lakewood Chapel with Rev. Robert Moore officiating.
