Robert Albert Plummer

Robert Albert Plummer, 80 of Valdosta died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his home. He was born in Grove Hill, Alabama on December 26, 1931 to the late Ralph H. and Carrie Riggan Plummer and had lived in Valdosta for the past ten years. Mr. Plummer was a 1955 graduate of Auburn University and the owner of a heavy equipment manufacturing company. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Frances Vivian Plummer Hollinger and Shannon R. Hollinger, Jr. of Camden, Ala., three sons and two daughters in law, Robert Albert Plummer, II and Sharon L. Plummer of Valdosta, Ralph Samuel Plummer of Valdosta, James Daniel Plummer and Rebecca J. Plummer of St. Petersburg, Fla., four grandchildren, Shannon R. Hollinger, III, Frances Vivian Plummer, Hannah Kay Plummer and Chloe Ann Plummer, two brothers and a sister in law, M. C. Plummer of Jackson, Ala., William Ralph Plummer and Hazel Plummer of Camp Hill, Ala., four sisters and three brothers in law, Dorothy Plummer Schenk and Bernard Schenk of Thomasville, Ala., Leta Mae Plummer Williams of San Antonio, TX., Katherine Elizabeth Plummer Barfield and Douglas N. Barfield of Montgomery, Ala., Virginia Plummer Crim and Dewey H. Crim of Johns Creek, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ann Nettles Plummer, two sisters and brothers in law, Frances Vivian Plummer Nichols and Buren Nichols, Mary Belle Plummer Anderson and Dovey Fair Anderson, a sister in law, Constance Furr Plummer and a brother in law, Ben Williams.
