Richard M. (Ricky) Dawson

RICHARD M. (RICKY) DAWSON, 59, of Valdosta passed away, Monday, December 13, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center a after a short illness. He was born in Moultrie to the late Riley A. Dawson, Sr. and Emily R. Glover Dawson. Mr. Dawson was a self employed in the Lawn Service and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela McCann Dawson of Valdosta, two brothers and sisters in law, Riley A. Dawson, Jr. and wife, Mary of Morino Valley, Calif., Gary S. Dawson and wife, Sharon of Tallahassee, Fla., in addition he is survived by four brothers in law and their wives, Charles McCann and wife, Elaine of Hahira, Cecil McCann and wife, Jan of Nashville, TN., Joel McCann and his wife, Mareen of Boston, MA., Jerry McCann and wife, Joy of Valdosta, three sisters in law, and their husbands, Sandra Sims and her husband, Willie of Valdosta, Joyce Coody and her husband, Al of Valdosta, Sue Ellen Snow and her husband, Roger of Lawton, OK., sixteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Brian R. Dawson.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, December 15, 2004 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
