Richard James Quinif, 72, of Valdosta died on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. He was born on December 20, 1932, in Perrysburg, OH. He was the son of the late Jules Quinif and Eva Servais Quinif. He was retired from Owens Illinois and had lived in Valdosta since 1960. He was a member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend who made the most out of each and every day.
Survivors include his wife, Lavelle Smith Wisenbaker Quinif of Valdosta and her son Gregory S. Wisenbaker of Atlanta; four sons and their spouses, Nicholas and Alice Quinif of Thomasville, Terrance and Debra Quinif of Atlantic Beach, FL, Kevin and Jan Quinif of Goose Creek, SC and Eric and Beth Quinif of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren, Brad, Casey, Brian, Michael, Evan, Patrick, Emory, Mary Kate and Jack Parker; one sister, Phyllis (Glenn) Stevick of Media, PA; two sisters-in-law, Pat Quiniff of Perrysburg, OH, Emily Quiniff of Des Plaines, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Howard Quiniff and Marvin Quiniff and a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Mike Haupricht.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2005 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. John Klimko and Mr. C. J. Moffett officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
