Rex M. Bowen

Rex M. Bowen, 59, of Valdosta died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. He was born on August 4, 1950 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Leah Allen Bowen and the late Bernard Bowen and had lived in Valdosta for thirty seven years. Mr. Bowen was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Hall Bowen of Valdosta, daughter and son in law, Shannon Bowen Barlow and Dennis Barlow of Valdosta, three sons and two daughters in law, Bob Hall of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Tony and Barbara Hall of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Kevin and Heather Hall of Parrish, Ala., his grandchildren, Andrew Hall, Colby Barlow, Charity Hall, Tony Hall and Torie Hall, his mother, Leah Bowen of Valdosta, brother and sister in law, Roger and Linda Bowen of Kingsport, TN., nephews, Stephen Bowen, Chris Bowen and Brad Bowen, numerous aunts, uncles and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, June 18, 2010 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Gene Wisehart and Pastor Mickey Wisehart officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
