Reverend Don Green

The Reverend Don Green, 70, of Valdosta passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on March 20th 2014 after a brief illness. Rev. Green was born in Augusta, GA on July 20th 1943 to the late Mary Eleanor and Max Harry Green. Rev. Green was a retired minister with the Church of God and had served for fifty years as a pastor. He was a member of Swilley Hill Church of God.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 50 years, Kathryn Green; their children Donna Green of Valdosta, and Kathy Culpepper (Dale) of Lake Park; grandchildren Krista White (Michael) of Valdosta, Matthew Culpepper of Lake Park, Kayla Staten, Desiree Staten, Mary Staten, and Nicholas Green; great-grandchildren Lucee Staten, Gavin White, and Madee Staten all of Valdosta.
Services for Rev. Green will be held in the Carson McLane Chapel on Saturday, March 22nd at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Owens and Rev. Hulet Smith officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 21st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home.
