Reuben Donald "Don" Richardson

Reuben Donald "Don" Richardson, 65, of Valdosta died Wednesday, January 22, 2014. He was born in Pavo, Georgia on August 28, 1948 to Flossie Ernestine Owens Richardson and the late Reuben Leonard Richardson. Mr. Richardson was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as a firefighter with the City of Valdosta after thirty years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Ethan and his family. Mr. Richardson was a graduate of Thomas County Central High School in Thomasville and a member of Gateway Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Brett and Shari Richardson of Nashville, GA, Eric and Jennifer Bramble of Tucson, AZ, two grandchildren, Ethan Richardson and Addie Richardson both of Nashville, his mother, Flossie Ernestine Richardson of Pavo, three sisters and brothers in law, Jean and Junior Brady of Valdosta, Darlene and Ricky Stephenson of Pavo, Marilyn and Johnny Montgomery of Atlanta, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Reuben Leonard Richardson.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, January 24, 2014 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Thomasville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, P. O.
