Rett Moore

William Errett (Rett) Moore, III, 41, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Born in Valdosta on April 25, 1974, he had lived here all of his life. Graduating in 1992, he was an Honor Student at Valdosta High School. Rett went on to attend and graduate from Valdosta State University with his Masters in Public Administration. He soon went to work at VSU and worked for many years in the Financial Aid Office there. Rett greatly enjoyed the outdoors, and spent all the time he could fishing, hunting and camping. He also loved spending time with his boys. He was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include his sons, Caleb & Eli Moore, of Valdosta; his father and step mother, Bill & Yvette Moore, of Valdosta; his sister and brother in law, Marianne & Todd Lovett and nephews, Will & Trevor Lovett, all of Kennesaw. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, and special cousins and many close friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Colleen H. & Rev. William E. Moore, Sr. and Robert & Delia Branch.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at First Christian Church. Rev. Chris Michael will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church, 1905 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA 31602.
