Ret CMSgt William (Bill) Jordan died after a long illness at the age of 79. He was born in Baker County, Newton, GA on July 24, 1934 to the late Earl and Bonvel Burch Jordan and has lived in Valdosta since 1972. He was a retired CMSgt with the USAF stationed at Moody Air Force Base. Chief Jordan was a graduate of Valdosta State University with a Masters degree in psychology. Mr. Jordan worked for the State of Georgia before retiring the second time. He was a very faithful and active member of Azalea City Baptist Church, New Bethel Baptist Church and Greenwood Baptist Church. Mr. Jordan had a strong passion for his Lord Jesus Christ, wife, family, pets and work. His favorite bible scripture is Isaiah 40:31.
Survivors include his wife of fifty nine years, Ida Elouise Jordan of Valdosta, his son and daughter in law, Kim and Ginger Jordan of Phoenix, AZ, his daughter and son in law, Sharon and Gary Berglund of Valdosta, three grandchildren, David Jordan and his wife Noreen of AZ, Amy Lewis and her husband, Kevin of CA, Shawn Berglund and his fiancé, Sarah Lohmar of Valdosta, his step granddaughter, Mandy Ricker and her husband Chris of AZ, two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Lyla Jordan of Phoenix, AZ, three step great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Weston and Easton Ricker of Phoenix, AZ, one uncle and aunt, Charlie and Martha Jane Burch of Baker County, GA.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at eleven a. m. at the graveside at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Chip Fuller and Dr. Clyde Stokes officiating. Full military honors will be rendered. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Gideons International, P. O. Box 4131, Valdosta, GA.
