Remer Glenn Highsmith, 52, of Ellabell, died in Savannah on Sunday, July 19, 2009 after a short illness. Born in Pearson, Georgia, on May 17, 1957, he was the son of the late Edsel Highsmith and Latrell White Schochler. Mr. Highsmith was employed with Dillon Transport.
Survivors are his wife, Ann Price Highsmith of Ellabell; daughters and son in law, Deanna and Jason Barham of Valdosta, Selena Walker of Albany; sons, J. R. Bullard of Ray City, Shaun Bullard of Ellabell, Andy Bruce of Ray City; nine grandchildren; brother, Chris Highsmith of Pearson, sister, Derrine White of Pearson, mother in law, Nellie Price of Quitman, brothers in law, Charles and Carolyn Price of Valdosta, Alvin Price of Savannah.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Jerry McKinnon will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman.
