REGINIA PLAIRE DICKERSON, 82, of Hahira died Monday, August 28, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Lowndes County on November 1, 1923 to the late Clifford L. and Reba Miley Plaire and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Dickerson was a member of the Hahira First Baptist Church where she was active in the Ladies I Sunday School Class and the WMU Day Circle.
Survivors include three daughters and three sons in law, Mary deLorge of Valdosta, Delores and Bob Bell of Valdosta, Ann and Mike Coughlin of Granger, Indiana and B. L. Smith of Valdosta, 9-grandchildren, 13-great grandchildren, two sisters and a brother in law, Jeanette and Leland Clanton of Hahira, Mable Credille of Valdosta, one brother and sister in law, Jimmy and Linda Plaire of Valdosta and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean D. Smith of Valdosta.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the Hahira First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Dickerson will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the services.
