Rebecca Smith Watson, 55, of Valdosta, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Langdale Hospice House. She was born in Tifton, GA on March 14, 1967, to Lewis Charles Smith and Donna Brunson Smith. Becky was a member of First Baptist Church of Valdosta and lived to serve Christ. Becky and her husband Keith were president of the Flythe Sunday School Class, and she led a bible study she started at her work. She graduated with honors from Tift County High School and Valdosta State College. She was a CPA and retired as CFO at Investors Management Company. She was selfless and full of joy. She was very active in her daughters’ lives. She loved attending UGA Football Games, watching the Atlanta Braves, visiting the beach and going to Disney World. Her favorite thing to her was spending time with her family and especially her new grandchild “Lizzie”. She loved her dachshund Champ very much.
Becky is survived by her husband Keith Watson, of Valdosta; daughters and son-in-law, Caroline and Joe Morgan, of Valdosta, and Kameron Watson, of Atlanta; her granddaughter Elizabeth “Lizzie” Morgan, of Valdosta; her parents Charles and Donna Smith, of Valdosta; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Benjie Bradshaw, of Valdosta; nephew, Brayden Bradshaw; niece, Ella Bradshaw; father-in-law and his wife, Lester Watson, Jr. and Opal Watson, of Tifton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Stacey and Paul McMillan, of Tifton; nieces, Stephanie Frobos (David), of Tifton, Nephew Josh McMillan (Jena), of Raleigh, NC; nieces Sarah McMillan, of Tifton; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Betty Watson.

Services will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 2pm at First Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Owens and Rev. Mac Weaver officiating. A private family burial will be held at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-7pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
