Rebecca Jane Eason

Rebecca Jane Eason, aged 66, from Valdosta, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Born on May 20, 1957, in Carrollton, GA, Mrs. Eason had a fulfilling career as a data entry clerk at Perfecto Products. She had a deep love for the beach and enjoyed exploring new destinations. Her most cherished moments were spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. In her leisure time, Mrs. Eason delighted in watching the Twilight Movie Series, pursuing photography, reading, and genealogy.

Mrs. Eason is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Misty McClanahan, residing in Naylor, her son Shannon McClanahan in Arizona, and her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Eric Luke, residing in Tifton, GA. Her legacy will be carried on by her cherished grandchildren, Nickolas McClanahan in Arizona, Jeremiah J. Eason in Atlanta, and Christina McLarty in Valdosta, along with her six great-grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Jeff Power of Fayetteville, GA, her sister Penny Dempster in Atlanta, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Eason was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband Richie McClanahan, three brothers, and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, November 27, 2023, at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Rodney Tennery officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2pm.
