Rebecca Adams Jester

Rebecca Adams Jester, age 98, of Valdosta, died February 23, 2009. She was the widow of the late James E.G. Jester of Bainbridge, and daughter of Ben G. and Coley M. Adams of Atlanta. She graduated from Georgia State Teachers College, Athens, and taught in several south Georgia schools. Mrs. Jester was an active member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Valdosta.

Survivors are her sister, Geraldine A. Patrick, Decatur; nieces, Dorothea Smith, Hilda Patrick, Ann Robinette, and Betty Ruth Tannler; nephews, J.E. Patrick, Wink Smith, Michael Tannler, and G.O. Robinette; also a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009 with Reverend V. L. Daughtery officiating.
