Reba Mae Simpson, 84, of Adel, died at her residence on Thursday, September 15, 2016. She was born on March 9, 1932 in Nashville. Georgia to the late Charlie Gordon and Flora Kirkland Brady and had lived most of her life in the local area. She was a homemaker and a dual member of Nashville Church of Christ and Statenville Church of Christ. Mrs. Simpson was a devoted Christian who was a reading fanatic, loved to decorate and loved flowers.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn Pace of Lake Park, Marilyn and Freddy Ward of Newville, Alabama, Shirley and Virgil Wheeler of Lake Park, Flo Ella and Joseph Henderson of Fargo, and Deborah and Bud Donohoo of Jennings, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Lindsay and Howard Hansford of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Thomas Simpson, three sisters and two brothers, two grandsons and a granddaughter.
Services for Reba Mae Simpson will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Evangelist Evans McMullen and Minister Richard Dale officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nashville Church of Christ and/or Statenville Church of Christ.
