Raymond Earl Yand, 41, of Lake Park, died suddenly at his home on Friday, December 22, 2006. Born in Tampa, Florida, on January 18, 1965 he had made his home in Echols County for the past 11 years. He was employed with Bathcraft and attended Antioch Baptist Church. Raymond loved life and enjoyed making people happy. Raymond’s kind and humble love produced a smile that would light the world.
Survivors are his companion, best friend and fishing buddy, Marty Carter of Statenville; sister, Angela Yand of Tampa, Florida; brother and sister in law, Bobby and Kimberly Yand of Chillochothe, Ohio; sister and brother in law, Sherry and David Cohalla, brother, Randy Butler, sister, Shantell Butler and aunt, Marcella Johnson all of Tampa, uncle Raymond Robinson of Palatka, Florida, his extended family, Hazel Carter, Clinton and Judy Carter and family of Statenville, Latrelle and Sean Harvey and family of Waycross, Andy Carter of Valdosta; several nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, Marvadene Robinson and a brother, Jeff Butler.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 4 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. Reverend Mickey Corbett will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 3 until service time. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, December 30, 2006.
