Randy Dale Folsom, 68, of Hahira, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on December 2, 1955, to the late Jesse Lee Folsom and Virginia Lucille Legette Folsom. A lifelong resident of Hahira, he attended school in Hahira, and graduated from Lowndes High School in 1973. Growing up helping his family work on the farm, he went on to get a degree in Biology from Valdosta State University. Soon after high school, he started working at Langdale Forest Products and has worked for them for almost 50 years. Currently he was the Timber Procurement Manager. He was very active at his church Hahira Community Church and serving with the men there. He had formerly served as a volunteer firefighter at the Shiloh Station.
Randy was first a man of God and lived it every moment of his life. He believed in doing your best no matter what you were doing. He was the best husband, best daddy, best brother, best granddaddy, and best friend. Whatever it was he gave it his heart and soul and you knew it if you were blessed to be a part of his life.
He would never have wanted this attention, but he so deserves to be honored. He loved being a simple man and his greatest joy in life was enjoying his family whatever that was….a walk in the woods, fishing at the pond, riding in the woods, ballgames, anything to be a part of their life.
Randy is survived by his wife Brenda Watson Folsom of Hahira, son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Brittany Folsom, of Hahira, son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Ashley Folsom, of Warner Robins, his grandchildren, Holt Folsom, Tate Folsom, Greer Folsom, Bailey Folsom, and Gage Folsom; a brother Roger Folsom (Ann Graham) of Dublin, GA; a sister and a brother-in-law, Lynne and Buster Johnson, of Adel; his stepdaughters, Amanda (Tim) Miller, of Valdosta, Ashley (Andy) Smith, of Hawkinsville, Katie (Seth) Ray, of Nashville; and their children who adored him; his nieces and nephews, Zach (Ashlyn) Johnson, Amy (David) Sills, Ashley (Cole) Livingston; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Sandy Holton Folsom.
