Ramona Gefre

Ramona Klapperich Gefre, 88, of Valdosta, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Presbyterian Home in Quitman, GA. She was born on December 31, 1934, in Turton, South Dakota to the late Vincent and Evalyn Marie Bourassa Klapperich. Mrs. Gefre enjoyed reading, playing cards, and loved to crochet baby hats for South Georgia Medical Center. She was an avid sports fan, college football and basketball, and major league baseball. Mrs. Gefre was a great mother and grandmother. Mrs. Gefre was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Mrs. Gefre is survived by her children, Mary Novak, of Valdosta, Patrick Gefre, of Minnesota, Larry Gefre, of Ohio, Carol Lunday, of San Antonia, TX, and Doug (Leslie) Gefre, of Severn, MD; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Gefre, of Ypsilanti, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert F. Gefre, sister, Valois Rue, a daughter, Ruth Leffler, and a grandson L.C. Lunday, IV.
