Ralph Lancaster of Eatonton Georgia had the angels come and take him home to the Lord on November 8, 2006 at 72 years of age after suffering with lung cancer. We mourn the loss of a loving husband of 50 years, our hero, and father of two children and grandfather of two grandsons. He has always been a loving father, hard worker, avid golfer, and a great provider for his family. He served as a past Potate of the Masons and a past member of the shriners out of the Rising Star Lodge #4 in Eatonton Ga. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959 with a tour of Germany.
He was born in Swainsboro, Ga. then raised in Valdosta Ga. Ralph was a painter by trade. He owned and operated Lancaster Coating Inc. from 1976 thru 1992. After retiring in 1992, he loved working in his yard with his flowers and started playing golf. He really enjoyed playing golf with his buddies as well as his son. He has been a resident of Putnam County since 1981.
He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Lancaster; son, Wayne Lancaster of Eatonton; daughter Diane (Billy) Mitchell of Locust Grove, Georgia; two grandsons, Kyle Mitchell of Locust Grove, Georgia, and Kaleb Hall (Lancaster) of Jesup Georgia; two brothers Sylvester (Jimmie) Lancaster of Middleburg, FL. Joe (Louise) Lancaster of Nashville Georgia. We are very thankful he also leaves behind many loving sisters in law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
