Prudence Bell, 88, of Valdosta died Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Fellowship Home. She was born on August 7, 1920 in Hahira to the late Thomas and Hattie Watson Redding and had lived in this area all of her life. Mrs. Bell was a seamstress at Levi's for twenty years and a member of the Eastern Heights Baptist Church. She loved attending the worship services at the Fellowship Home.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Allen and Karen Bell of Hortense, Charles Thomas and Marie Bell of Carrollton, one sister, Elizabeth Walker of North Carolina, three grandsons David (Debbie) Bell of Griffin, Jason (Terri) Bell of Lincoln, NE. and Shannon Willis of Hortense, six great grandchildren, Brena Willis, Maddie Bell, Foster Bell, Jeremy Fricke, Chealsea Fricke and Jordan Fricke and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Bell and four brothers, Buran Redding, Veran Redding, Randall Redding and Brooks Redding.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
