Pleasant Wiseman (P.W.) Davis, Jr., 91, of Valdosta, died Monday, September 3, 2007 at his residence. He was born on November 1, 1915 in Parrott, GA to the late P.W. Davis, Sr. and Mary Kite Davis. Mr. Davis was retired from Moody Air Force Base Civil Service as a Transit Alert Aircraft Mechanic. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Lake Park. He was also a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche Harrell Davis of Valdosta; daughters and son in law, Ruth and Ollie Roach of Milledgeville, Diane Davis of Rome; son, Roy “Sonny” Dismuke of Valdosta; daughter and son in law Peggy and Jim Ross of Valdosta and Karen and Jerry Corbett of Lake Park. Mr. Davis is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and two sisters Rebecca Caldwell and Dolly Thompson both of Parrott, GA. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Godwin, a grandson, Lee Godwin; two sisters, Pearl Flournoy and Sue Swearinger; two brothers, Dalton and Jim Davis.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in the chapel at Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Dawson and Reverend Stanley Luke officiating.
